AMIDES
 
Fatty Amides are group of organic chemicals with the general formula RCO-NH2 (Primary Amides) or RCO-NHR' (Secondary Amides).Amides are very polar, but basicity is weaker than amines. One of the main application of Fatty Amides is in polymer processing as slip and anti-block agents, which are incorporated into the polymers during the extrusion process. They work by migrating to the surface, forming a solid lubricant layer which reduce friction and adehesion between polymer surfaces or between polymer and other materials Some Fatty Amides are also widely used in Lubricant oils and in Greases.

DAPRASLIP E has better thermal stability, is more resistant to oxidation and creates less volatiles during processing; this makes DAPRASLIP E better for hight temperature processing. DAPRASLIP HT DAPRASLIP HT is a technical grade, saturated, long chain primary amide (Stearamide) suitable as slip agent, anti-fogging or lubricant additive for plastic films (polyolefin), which can be used in food packaging. DAPRASLIP HT has medium slip properties, it serves as release agent in plastics, waxes and rubbers. DAPRASLIP HT can also be used in printing inks, to improve the peel strenght, as adhesion promoter in coupling fiberglass and resins, and as additive in greases formulations.
